Suppose you could take one idea and turn it into multiple streams of income? One idea can be turned into six completely different sources of revenue. That’s right, one idea can be turned into six streams of income.
You must have two talents: the ability to write well and the ability to take a decent photo or create a graphic to illustrate what you’ve written. With these two talents you can build multiple streams of income every time you write something.
A good example is a blog entry. Perhaps you’ve written a blog post about your toddler’s habit of putting berries in his mouth from bushes growing in your back yard. A good blog post will include at least one photo or illustration such as a close-up of the berries It might show a photo of your toddler picking the berries or getting ready to eat them.
How can you turn this single blog post into multiple streams of income?
1. Google Adsense
The first and simplest thing you should do is add Google Adsense to the blog. With Google Adsense, you post a snippet of Google code in the sidebar where it will appear on every page of your blog or as a Widget. Google takes care of the rest. You don’t ever need to worry about or update what gets advertised there. Google Adsense is smart and handles that for you automatically. Every time someone clicks on a Google Adsense ad, you will earn income.
2. Amazon Affiliate Program
With Amazon affiliate links you will need to spend a bit more time and incorporate them into the body of the post. The phrase “poisonous berries” or “poisonous to children” could link to an Amazon search for books on poisonous berries, or books about plants that are poisonous to children and pets.
If your visitor clicks the link and buys a book or any other Amazon product, you will earn a percentage of the sale. This is known as affiliate income. Both Amazon and Google Adsense offer a variety of link types so that you can choose the best fit for your blog. The Amazon Affiliate Program is also known as the Amazon Associates Program.
3. Sell the article
Once you’ve got your blog set up with Google Adsense and the Amazon Affiliate Program, the next step is to take the blog post or article apart and sell the pieces. The first piece is the text. Turn it into an article if it isn’t already and sell it on one of the writer’s sites or web content.
